These days, you can do just about everything on the internet, from watching movies and listening to music to even buying your groceries for the week. However, have you ever considered the possibility of buying your own car online? Ford has. The new Ford Credit program, working in tandem with startup AutoFi, is designed to allow customers to do exactly that: buy new vehicles or finance auto loans online through dealership websites.
This isn’t the first time in recent years Ford has been pushing the envelope when it comes to technology features. The brand has been revamping the SYNC infotainment system in its vehicle lineup regularly, offering new connectivity features and apps every year. Then, the second half of 2016 saw the release of the FordPass service, which allowed drivers to do everything from the comfort of their car, including making restaurant reservations and reserving parking spots. But the collaboration between Ford and AutoFi would make the car-buying process easier and more convenient than ever.
The new Ford Credit program could allow customers to do all financial negotiations online in less than ten minutes, as well as schedule a delivery date and time for their brand-new vehicle. The auto industry is always taking new strides and adapting to consumer expectations, and with the convenience of the Internet, anything is possible.
